有男鍤畎畝，緩默趨孑然。老馬羸難助，趑趄如半眠。
有煙輕裊裊，火未見積茅。同赴青冥道，悠然越列朝。
士女偕艽野，喁喁聲婉轉。戰雲終沉夜，情韻永播遠。

Only a man harrowing clods
In a slow, silent walk
With an old horse that stumbles and nods
Half-asleep as they stalk.
Only thins smoke without flame
From the heaps of couch-grass;
Yet this will go onward the same
Though Dynasties die.
Yonder a maid and her wight
Come whispering by;
War's annals will fade into night
Ere their story die.
